Lavender Rosehip Infused Oil

This oil is created by taking our hand-picked lavender and rosehips and doing a slow infusion of the fresh material into organic olive oil over the course of several weeks.

Rosehips are nutrient-dense, antioxidant-rich, astringent (contracts bodily tissues, i.e. gets the digestive tract moving), diuretic (helps relieve fluid retention), and anti-inflammatory.

Targeted Issues: PMS /menopause symptoms, upset stomach, sore throat, general colds, inflammation, and more.

Emotionally, rose can be used for uplifting the spirits and opening yourself up to love.

Nutritionally, rosehips are widely known as a good source of vitamin C and folate but also contain vitamins A, B3, D, and E, along with flavonoids, carotenoids, magnesium, zinc, copper and numerous other antioxidants. Lavender is a plant with antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, sedative properties.

Because of these properties, lavender may help with digestive issues, cleansing (i.e. clearing pores and reducing redness or healing infections), anxiety, insomnia, inflammatory conditions, and even depression.

Why olive oil?  Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, olive oil can provide many benefits for your skin including hydration (it’s lightweight and quickly absorbed), anti-aging (can help prevent puffiness, swelling, fine lines), wound-healing (helps collagen production), acne-prevention, and can even remove makeup.

Suggested Use: Moisturizer for face and body, spot treatment for problem areas (acne, dry skin), hair treatment: apply to dry ends or scalp for 5-10 minutes then shampoo and condition as usual or leave in if your hair type absorbs oils quickly. Can also be applied to wounds to prevent bacterial growth and speed up healing.

The frosted glass bottle has a pump for easy application and to help prevent messes or wasting the oil.

Keeping it Fresh: This oil is a natural product without added preservatives or emulsifiers and therefore may separate, just shake before applying if necessary. It is relatively shelf-stable due to the oil content, however, storing it in the a cool, dark area may help prolong its shelf life
